Takaoka

Let us take you into the bylanes of Japan, where you can try your hand at local craft traditions. Stroll through Kanayamachi’s preserved townscape — the birthplace of Takaoka metal casting — and visit master bellmaker Shimatani Syouryu. End the day with a taiko drumming session at a local shrine. Check in at Rokudo-An by the afternoon. Take lunch at Michelin-starred Saryo Nicoca and dinner at restaurant Nei with modern regional cuisine that highlights the unique flavors of Toyama.
